Line-up Notes

?Price likely starts for Montreal
?Eller and Diaz missed practice on Friday with the flu and will be game-time decisions
?Montreal re-called Nathan Bealieu and Joonas Nattinen if those two can't play
Code:

?Bernier likely starts for Toronto
?The Leafs placed Clarkson and McLaren on the IR so both will be out at least a week
?Carlyle said D'Amigo, Bodie, and Devane are the likely call-up options from the Marlies, I'm guessing D'Amigo is the one who plays

A couple of years ago when Kadri was playing for the Marlies, some old guy rang Andy Frost on AM 640 and wanted to know why the leafs wouldn't bring Nathan Cadbury up. Frost just dismissed him and went to the next caller but he'll always be Nathan Cadbury to me.

Franson is not playing with his usual mojo, time to trade him and bring up TJ Brennan whom is tearing it up with the Marlies.  We will get a good draft pick for him and not lose a stitch with Brennan in the same role

Bodie's been called up. I wonder what D'Amigo did to Carlyle before the demotion.

I don't mind Bodie's game...I don't think he's any worse than D'Amigo as a grinder.

I think Orr's time as a Leaf should be about done though.

Bodie has to be called up.  Montreal has 6 fights in their last 18 games.  We need face punchers with Orr and McLaren out.  That is why Bodie got called up over D'Amigo.

And you have to understand that George Parros is such a classless fighter that he is liable to dropkick Kessel in the face because he knows Orr isn't there to get in a fight with him.

I actually really like Bodie, and would definitely have him in the line-up over Orr. But D'Amigo was in the line-up for 19 straight games. He was getting penalty killing time. He was playing on the 3rd line when injuries or whatever came up. He was performing very well. And then all of a sudden he gets sent down for Ashton and isn't the first guy to get the next call-up? How does he slide down the depth chart two spots like that after the performance that he gave?

Curtis Rush ‏@CurtisGRush 11m
Lupul, Raymond, Kadri working with Gardiner and Rielly on second power play unit. #Leafs

I missed the Buffalo game. Did Gardiner not stay on the top unit after playing there against Boston?

IIRC him and Franson alternated throughout.

Kulemin should be playing in Raymond's place. Brings much more to the table in pretty much all facets of the game. Randy never seems to give him more than a shift or two on the second line before sending him back and I don't get it.

There's a good YouTube compilation video of when Kulemin played with Kessel in 2009-10 I think it was.  Highlights of those two together.  If given a more offensive role and offensive players he can contribute at both ends a lot more.

I'd prefer Bodie over D'amigo on the 4th line even without facepunching potential. He plays a tougher game, drives the net, and is actually a fairly good skater.

Yeah, Raymond has tailed off in a big way, which is a shame considering his start. I wouldn't mind seeing him watch a few games from the press box to perhaps re-ignite him, and at the same time bring up a Marlie (Leivo/Broll) for a look.

I made a bet with my boss who's from Montreal.  If the Leafs win, she has to wear one of my Leaf jerseys.  If the Habs win, I have to wear one of her Habs jerseys.

Please win this one boys...

Ill miss this game as I am going to see The Pixies in concert tonight..But will be checking for updates on phone and hope they are happy updates.. go leafs go

I gotta say, they're not the same without Kim Deal. But have fun...
