Game Notes

MTL
?Price (19-5-4, 2.02 GAA, .930 Sv%) will likely start for the Habs
?Montreal has a long list of injuries to deal with right now, the latest one being Brendan Gallagher who will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken hand after getting hit with a Shea Weber slapshot

TOR
?Andersen (17-8-7, 2.62 GAA, .920 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Toronto woke up in a playoff spot this morning, but they'll likely lose it at some point next week due to inactivity. Another 2 points before their 5-day break would keep them there a little longer

Injuries

?Paul Byron - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?David Desharnais - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Alex Galchenyuk - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Grendan Gallagher - Hand - Injured Reserve
?Andrei Markov - Groin - Injured Reserve
?Andrew Shaw - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?Greg Pateryn - Ankle - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Nathan Horton - Back - Out indefinitely
?Joffrey Lupul - ?\_(ツ)_/? - Out indefinitely
?Stephane Robidas - Old - Out indefinitely
?Martin Marincin - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Ben Smith - Hand - Injured Reserve

No excuse not to compete in this one. Montreal decimated by injury, and although on the tail end of a b2b, we only actually played one period last night.

the last two against the dirty Habs, we out shot them by a large number, and the only reason they one was because of Price.

Just beat the dirty enemy please!

Hey guys, these are good. I'm on the second one.

Seems since Freddie joined us we have gone 6W-1 SO Loss and 1 outright Loss.  About the same number of games that Marincin has been gone. Strange but true.

Smith is the one Freddie replaced. Marincin went down a week earlier.

We lost three straight games after the win in Boston where Marcincin was tripped.

Then we won on Dec 17 against the Pens in OT and Smith was injured after that.

OK, so, anybody know when he's due back?

BTW, what's up with the schedule this week?  At this rate we'll have to finish the season playing 12 days in a row.

I notice that Corrado is playing for the Marlies tonight... anyone knows why?  Did I missed something?

They sent him to the Marlies on a conditioning loan.

He's already played two games. No points, but he has 8! shots on goal in those two games.

You're familiar with our general manager, right?

League mandated bye-week of 5 days off. Every team has one at different times. No one likes it.

During the pregame they commented the Sens next ten games are against playoff teams. Two of those games are against the Leafs. Feels good.

Good to be back at the ACC. Are the Leafs really 6-0-1 since their last game there Dec. 19th? That Christmas road trip was a hell of an accomplishment.
