Hobbies Thread

I'm a serious powder skiier. closest thing to flying, i figure. Love the steep and deep. have lots of heli time under my belt and have been swallowed by an avalanche. I snow dance a lot and love living in the mountains. oh yeah, I collect sports cards and listen to our leafs on the radio when it isn't on national tv or when I can't get a link. I guess sitting on this computer is a past time when there is no new snow and bored.....like right now. cheers leaf fans....hang in there.

I like to cook.

Me too... I could spend hours of the day in the kitchen but it frustrates the heck out of my wife that meals don't always take 20 minutes to prepare. So, she winds up doing almost all of the cooking and sometimes, it's something I have to pretend to like.  :-\ Oh, and she's as picky as hell and I'll try anything once.

In fact, if I could do it all again, I might have gone to culinary school - I enjoy it that much... Cleaning up my mess on the other hand? Well, different story.

I plan on going to culinary school part time when I get a job.

Good for you!... Are you thinking you might pursue it as a career or is this just sort of a life skill thing for you?

I doubt I'll pursue culinary career, just for fun to start.

I'd be open to the idea if I were to find a suitable opportunity.

I'm a big collector of vinyl records.  Although I play them, too - they don't just sit around.

Same here.  Ours are actually in a box -- we have plenty of 'oldies' but no turntable.  Used to have a (SeaBreeze) turntable way back God knows when....am thinking of purchasing one if they're still somewhat available (TheSource) should have them.

Ever thought of digitally storing them on CDs?  The sound just wouldn't be the same.

If anyone has a cool looking ballcap from their work or school, feel free to fire it off my way.  I'd gladly send you my address for mailing it  ;)

HUGE thank you to Steve (APPLECHEEKS).  He sent me a box of some cool hats all the way from BC (plus some Leafs stuff, as well).  I've got the Gallagher's Canyon one on right now.  Cheers, my friend - very much appreciated!

I'm always happy to accept cool hats from folks - I try to wear a different one every day...
