Home Run Derby

Haven't actually sat and watched one of these in a while and I don't recall there being a time limit before, but that timer is making some quite entertaining matchups.

Judge v Bour was a great contest. And some of these guys hit the ball really, really hard.

Judge hit 47 home runs in total.  He has a huge advantage over his opponents -- size.  At 6'7, 280 lbs. this guy doesn't tire easily.

Amazing as he's only a rookie. Lots of great years ahead.  It's certain he may win a couple more of these home run derbies.  An entertaining hitter, indeed.

The best un-roided home run hitter of all time was six foot even and 180 lbs. Willie Mays hit 660 homeruns at 5'11, 170.

The idea that size gives you any real advantage when it comes to hitting homeruns is pretty dubious and, in fact, a compact swing with strong wrists probably generates better bat speed. And a big guy with lots of weight would probably tire more easily.
