Hurricanes @ Leafs - Jan. 21st, 7:30pm - SNO, TSN 1050

That was quite interesting.  For some reason there were unequal numbers of skaters on the ice, with the Leafs having the advantage in that we had the greater number, and despite that advantage we failed to score.  I'll have to do some research on this, but it seems to have been a legal play.

It's too bad that Phaneuf had that surgery that fused his wrists so that he became incapable of stickhandling if the puck isn't 3 feet away from his body.

Kypreos can't believe that Therrien is getting heat in Montreal, obviously.

He does sort of have a point. I mean, not that it's hard to understand given the Montreal media but as busta has said repeatedly...it's just not that good a team with Price out.

I'm fine with that idea saving his job, but he's not a very good coach regardless.

I also don't think it's a team nearly as bad as they've performed since December, even without Price.

The play by play/colour call in the first may have been the worst I've heard in the whole season.

Looking forward to seeing how long they can talk about reimer playing out of the crease vs in the crease in the 2nd.

If what Damian Cox just said re: Keon is true, that's pretty interesting/ridiculous.

I've heard that explanation before, and I agree with you.

What did he say?

That a major part of why Keon is apparently coming back to be honoured for Legends' Row is a de facto promise from Shanahan to unofficially retire his number.

Pretty ridiculous if the case.  Either retire numbers officially or don't.  Keon isn't special.  He was a great player in the history of the team.  14 isn't more deserving of a retirement than 13.
