Is this the turning point???

I'm sure Pierre isn't the first person to think of this.

Does anyone actually think the home teams were visiting aren't 'up' for the games?  That's ridiculous if you ask me.  Any team in the league can beat any other team on a given night.  And also, do we suck so much we can only win road games because they other teams don't care and aren't taking us seriously?  Maybe the team plays well on occasion.  Geeeeeeez....

The ACC is far from a morgue.  I think the building has been remarkably riotous for the most part on home ice this year, considering the team's performance.

I think its only fair that since the Leafs have steped it up, the ACC fans should as well. if we beat the Habs on sat, and we will, then I expect our next Home game should be as Loud, or louder then it was in Winnipeg, and will be in Montreal.

Like I have said all along, our fans need to bring it, to help charge the Leafs.

I've been to two games this year and it takes very little to get the fans going.  They are loud when things are going right, loud when things are going wrong.. only time they are quiet is when the game slows to a crawl and trap teams put everyone to sleep, or when the game is out of hand.

I think the media really need to shut up and stop telling fans how to be fans in Toronto.

So Corn, what do you think is the reason that the Leafs cant win at home.

See my long and blathering post on this thread earlier this morning.

I don't think it's a lot more than coincidence ... two blown leads in particular. Also, the competition in general has been far better in their home games vs. the road.  The only other aspect is players who come to Toronto and want to put on a show for family.

So then just maybe the player need the fans pumping them at home to help keep them charged, like the players from ont on the other teams do.

Well yeah.. the better they play the louder the crowd will be.  It's pretty straight forward.

So if we take out the Habs sat, our building should be rocking for our return, we should expect nothing less.

On the road, the Leafs face less pressure and the other team says, 'meh, it's the Leafs coming here... they arent going to make the playoffs' and they don't "get up" for the game.

If this were true, that would mean the home team is less professional than the Leafs.

It's just such a ridiculous notion. It's not like the leafs the last few years have been 1990 Nordiques bad.

For a broadcast professional who is around professional athletes to say this is just asinine.

Being from Ontario, heck being from Canada, I'd definitely get motivated playing in Toronto.  Might even have friends and family at the game.

were turning, I can feel it, and if we pull off the win tonight the waggon will be full tommorow..

I love you, nutman.  Without eternal optimists the world would be a realistic place.

Yup so true.. but just the same won't you be hyped if you wake up sunday and were in 5th place. ;D

The standings look nice this morning. now the big test, will the fans show up monday, or will it be the hand sitters. If they have the place rocking, the Leafs will come out charged, and may just win one at home, and prove once and for all, that it helps to have the fans rocking the place to give the team that extra push to win.

Well 15 games in and, were still one of the top feeders. I think we have turned the corner, and things will only get better from here on. I think the dark days are behind us. I am not saying we will win a cup right away, but it will be nice winning and playing with the big boys. I can see us being in the playoffs this year,  If we keep playing this well. If we go 7-3 in this segment as I predicted, i will fire up the waggon. ha ha ha
