Islanders @ Leafs - Mar. 9, 7:30pm - SNO, Fan 590

Kypreos: I'm not so sure that it's TOTALLY inconceivable that Horachek wouldn't be back next year as HC.  Not likely, sure.  But if they can't snag a Babcock, maybe you let Horachek oversee Year One of the reeb.

Nah, he really doesn't have a chance at coming back.

Hopefully the Leafs get a good draft pick and get a few individuals showing some effort.  Booth looked good on the play.

Still surprised Booth didn't find a new home at the deadline. Even though he wasn't scoring until recently, he was working hard and was effective in the corners.

He got almost no PP time. He's more of a scoring talent trying to play with pluggers/checkers.

Do that and his scoring is compromised - like anyone's would be.

Put him with better players and his numbers are likely to improve - like anyone else.

Floating that might get a few of them to make an effort ..

So here's a question, who would have a problem with this lineup next year

Panik-Kadri-JVR
UFA-Holland-Komarov
UFA-McKegg-Leivo
Sill-Smith-Kozun

Rielly-Gardiner
Robidas-Percy
Polak-UFA

Hope they could find some more buy-cheap sell-for-seconds UFAs in the bargain bin, but that isn't terrible rebuild year roster. Wouldn't renew Gamecenter for it though...

Frankly Id rather see Polak with Reilly up there....

Kessel will still be a Loaf.  what the F are these guys doing tonight, didnt Horacheck explain the the Tank concept to this team.

I just mean in terms of roster. The actual pairings/lines were not what I was guessing at.

What's the cap floor next year? Would that lineup reach it? Definitely a Top 3 pick next year if that's our team.

A lot of that would depend on what they re-sign Kadri, Panik and Bernier for as well as what sort of money they give those hypothetical FA's.
