NYI
?Ilya Sorokin (25-19-6, 2.37 GAA, .925 Sv%) will likely start for the Islanders
?Engvall was pointless in his first 3 games with the Islanders but has 5 points in his last 4. Former Leafs gonna former Leaf
?Bo Horvat's time on the Island has been less than good. After putting up 31 goals and 54 points in 49 games with Vancouver befotr the trade he has just 5 goals and 9 points in 19 games with New York

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (24-8-3, 2.35 GAA, .917 Sv%) will start for the Maple Leafs
?The Leafs practiced without Brodie on Monday as he's feeling the effects of a blocked shot from Saturday night. The status of the defence, and whether the Leafs got 11/7 or not, could depend on his status

I thought a concern going into last year's playoffs was that the big boys were logging too many minutes down the stretch. 11/7 would seem to be repeating the same mistake, wouldn't it?  I know Marner's not going to play 29 minutes like he did the other night, but still, that was crazy.

More likely to be a Nylander hat trick, if history is any predictor

I think it'll be a Lafferty statement game, if anything.

I'm playing someone in fantasy playoffs with Samsonov and Sorokin, so I'll be good with both getting one.

Nylander's game fell off after they traded his friends.  Not a coincidence.  These people are people, after all.

Just score goals Willy. Just score goals.

Has he even played with Engvall and Sandin? They're friends but they're still professional athletes. They've dealt with trades before and they'll deal with them until they retire.

This is precisely my point.  Just because they are professional athletes who have to deal with this doesn't make them any less human if they have emotional ties to the guys who get shipped out.  It's a risk you run when you "shake up the room."

I wonder how many goals would get scored if teams weren't allowed to blatantly hold forechecker after they dump the puck in
