You are correct. Which is why I compared those fans to the dads in the corner eating popcorn and screaming at every one on the ice to be more good yet not being able to skate themselves.
The issue is comparing your goalie to the very best in the league(Vasilevskiy) or to a goalie that's standing on his head(Hellebuyck). That's not realistic.
That's like saying, "Hey William Nylander, why can't you be more like Connor McDavid?"
It's not going to happen. Not consistently. Why should we expect the same from a goalie? I mean, if you're expecting a Vaselivskiy type goaltender It will be pretty difficult to find. There's only one of them out there.
