so, while I agree on keeping our 1st as a Plan B, the Leafs are 2nd in the East, missing 5 regulars, including the #1 Goalie at the 25% mark of the season.

They shouldwill make the playoffs this year.

I agree. If the Leafs are solidly in a playoff spot at the deadline, I'd have no problem if they moved that pick in the right deal - as long as it's not for a rental, it could be worth it.
