Komarov wants back in....

Somebody do one of those cap geek proposed lineup things, and figure out how we can fit him in at $1.5 or something.

The question will probably be the same one he faced this summer though. If he wants back at 4th line prices, terrific. If he wants to get paid like he's a highly sought after depth player at 3 to 3.5 million a year I'd be less sure.

I don't think there is much questioning his scoring ability now. He would fit in well on a 3rd line and go higher when a top 6 is injured. I can't see him coming back to play a 4th line role.

This makes me wish this was the David Clarkson thread. ;(

The question will probably be the same one he faced this summer though. If he wants back at 4th line prices, terrific. If he wants to get paid like he's a highly sought after depth player at 3 to 3.5 million a year I'd be less sure.

This is how I look at Kulemin.  If he was getting paid a mill or a mill and a half for his level of play then fine.  But not 3 mill.  If the price is right you sign komarov, but don't over pay for people on your 3rd line.

$1-1.5 million for Kulemin?  Are you serious?

I guess by his standards Clarkson should be making 500K.

Here's what $1 million gets you (Raymond probably the best in there): http://capgeek.com/comparables/?player_id=670

$1.5 million: http://capgeek.com/comparables/?player_id=968

That seems pretty fair for what Komarov brought to the team last year.

So, should everyone have to take significantly less than what they're worth to for the Leafs or just some players?

I think LK's lineup is the most realistically desirable, though if it were me I'm adding Bodie to the 4'th line and through some mystical incantation adding Eric Gubrandson to the defense instead of Klesla.

Just the greedy Russian ones.
