Kulemin and Grabovski to the Islanders

If they use Kulemin in a 2nd line type offensive role, he should produce enough to justify that deal when combined with his solid defensive play. As for Grabovski - it's going to depend on his health.

Pretty good top 9:

Nelson-Tavares-Okposo
Grabner-Grabbo-Kulemin
Bailey-Nielsen-Strome

Or however it shakes out.

Yeah, and with Halak in net, it probably means they're not giving Buffalo a top 5 pick next year. Their blue line is still a mess, but, I don't think they're a bottom of the basement team now.

I was really a fan of Kulie and will miss him in the Blue and White.

On the plus side he escapes a bunch of incompetents....oh wait a minute...poor Kulie  :-\

@tsnscottcullen: RT @Hope_Smoke: Poulin "Kulemin and Grabo have the same agent are close friends. We knew they wanted to be a package deal"

@tsnscottcullen: RT @Hope_Smoke: Steve Simmons "I don't know why anybody would have that agent"

@tsnscottcullen: Yeah, good time to slam that agent.

@tsnscottcullen: RT @Hope_Smoke: Gary Greenstin is the agent for Kulemin and Grabovski. He went public with how unhappy he was with the way Kulemin was depl?

That agent seems to be doing pretty well for both of his clients anyway.

Nope. No idea why anyone would want to have an agent that sticks up for them and negotiates very good deals for them.

Good deal for Kulemin. Given his last few seasons I can't say I'll miss him terribly but he seemed like a good guy and always gave a solid effort. Good luck to him on the island.

That is indeed a lot despite my liking both players.

For Kulemin in particular. I always liked that he could slot into the second line when someone was injured or not producing, but I don't know that I'd trust him to produce there regularly. But, you know, free agents.

I'd like to see him in a role where he's not buried defensively.

Well, he impressed in that role in the minute he had it over the last two seasons. Will be curious to see how it goes.

I'm not sure why it concerns me, but I'm happy to see the two of them together again. The money is high, but they're both good players so it won't be a big loss for the Islanders if they don't fully live up to the contracts as they'll still get good production out of them. Hopefully they're both put into positions where they can play offense.
