Leafs 2013/2014 Schedule in 10 game chunks

Price re-injured himself at the Olympics and will miss Montreal's next 2 games at least.  Good for us.
I heard he was injured in practice today, did they confirm he's missing two games?

@LavoieRenaud

Carey Price out for the next 2 games. Re-injured himself during the Olympics. Dustin Tokarski recalled by the Canadiens.

Too bad it's not 3, Leafs play the Habs on Saturday.

I could see them being cautious, or at least facing him coming off an injury is probably preferable.

Yeah true, if he's not 100% and tries to play through whatever injury he has he risks getting injured worse, would be great for the Leafs if he starts on Saturday but can't finish the game.

Since I have top of the page post I'll repost this chunk:

mike_p_johnson: Uh oh, Carey Price takes one shot on a 5 on 0 pp warmup and gets up favouring his leg.  He left the ice and has not returned for practice.

I think the next three are very winnable and might give this team the jump they had before the break. They will need to have it going again by the time that trip out west begins, or things could spiral downward pretty quickly.

I see the Leafs winning the next 2 and Habs losing the next two (LA/Anaheim) and Leafs jump into 2nd in the division.

If the playoffs started today, would the Leafs play Tampa or Montreal? I am so confused with this wild card stuff. They sit fifth overall in the conference but from a wild card point of view they are 7th?

Yup - because of the WC, they'd be in 7th - and would have Boston in the first round. :o

Thanks. It's actually pretty scary then. Leafs not far from getting out of a playoff spot.

They're also not far from being a top team in the conference.  Things are tight all over.  Need to not slump and they'll be fine.

Boston really doesn't scare me that much anymore. Chara's starting to show signs of age. They don't have Ference (UFA), Seidenberg (injury), or McQuaid (injury) on their defence and they only replaced them internally at this point. Iginla < Horton. Eriksson < Seguin. And while Reilly Smith is having a great season, he's already starting to slow down (0 goals in 8 games) so come playoff time I'd say Smith < Peverely as well.

They still have probably the best goalie in the entire league and Krejci/Bergeron down the middle, but I just don't think they're as big as a threat as they used to be.

I dont think we should talk about match ups right now. Another week of this and we will be talking draft picks instead.
