Leafs @ Avalanche - Dec. 29th, 9:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

Not a great call but we got away with a definite call on Komorov just at the end of the 3rd so really we deserved a crap call.

You could call a penalty on komarov earlier but yet another game where a team gets more power plays against the Leafs......

In any case, that was very unwise by Hainsey. If it was Gardiner he?d be torched.
That was all Hainsey's fault. Tons of room in 3 on 3 and he decides to try and skate through some traffic.

Not sure about that call but Hainsey...seemed like an odd choice to be out there. Oh well, could have easily lost this one in regulation but saved a point.

What's Hainsey even doing out there in OT? Play your offensive players plain and simple. Quit throwing out the plugs in OT. Gardiner and Reilly should be the only 2 D men that see the ice and then maybe 6 forwards. regardless they didn't even deserve the 1 point. play like this Sunday going to be ugly.

That's what I say.  I wonder if they refs have it in for Babcock.

And earlier in the 3rd I think they could have easily called COL for boarding Komarov.

missed the game, IMO the penalty in OT was soft, which there have been a lot VS TO in the past half dozen games. Shitty way to lose.

Obviously Colorado was a little "pumped" playing against the Leafs.  Avs forward Nathan MacKinnon summed it up nicely:

"It's a big game. It's always fun and exciting playing against big-market teams. Playing against [Auston] Matthews as well, it was fun. There's only 10-to-12 in the league that you really get pumped up for to play, that you get matched up against. It was a fun matchup."
