Not sure this Rielly-Liljegren pairing is working.

How can you blame Lilly for anything there. Reilly was the one skating around and leaving the front of the net open.

Share some blame with Marner for that rough stick check and getting lost on the handoff

Rielly isn't good without Brodie.

Think that's pushing it a little but he could definitely use someone a little more reliable than a rookie who's better suited for sheltered 3rd pair minutes at this early stage of his career.

I get that now is the time to try things out but Rielly-Brodie...leave it alone

We need a second pairing defenseman.  Whether we can get one or not is the issue.  The team needs stability right now...I'm not sure we should just experimenting when it isn't working.

I literally didn't specify blame on an individual player?

What is it with this team and leads and then for the most part letting teams back in the game. I get it Columbus coming out and playing a better period but seems like a common theme with this bunch.

I mean we have arguably two 2nd pair guys on the IR right now with Sandin and Muzzin out, so that should probably be kept in mind. I think right now the top-4 needs to contain Rielly, Brodie, Holl, and Lyubushkin considering the guys we have available, so Rielly-Holl or Rielly-Lyubushkin.
