herman said:If you look at tonight?s game from the shot attempts, it looks like Boston dummied us around. Some of it is score effects sure.
However, watching the game, I didn?t really feel that clench that usually comes with watching the Leafs protecting a lead. McElhinney wasn?t swimming out there and the defense gave him clean looks for the most part. He probably robbed maybe 2 really good chances, but they were otherwise routine saves. It was just a really nice and solid ugly road win.
Bozak?s line playing against AHLers gave us all the offence needed.

I saw things differently. I saw the Leafs getting outplayed in their own zone for most of the game, but able to score a few on Rask. Shot differential at 39 vs. 24 was pretty indicative of who was controlling play.
I saw McElhinney outplaying Rask, and Boston going 0-6 on the PP (which is related to McElhinney's play), as being the most significant reasons for them getting away with a 2 points last night.

I cant figure out why Nylander has such a low shooting percentage. Just luck?

Great question. He's gone ice-cold in terms of scoring goals. He had one good chance last night that I recall.
? Thought this was a good example of the kind of subtle, smart reads Ron Hainsey makes in the defensive zone. If he goes for the puck here, maybe he wins the race and the ensuing puck battle, but if he doesn?t, he?s in no-man?s land and Brad Marchand is all alone in front. He identifies the potential danger, backs off, and lives to fight another day.
