Leafs @ Canadiens - Apr. 28th, 8:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Definitely a mistake by Allen but still a heads up play. Honestly the Habs do look like a team with good fundamentals but no finish.

The set PP looks good again but they can?t get zone entries if they don?t win the draw.  The drop pass stuff needs to stop

Good point, winning the initial draw makes a huge difference.  No need for the hated drop pass then.

This game lacks definition, the run of play never really got going in one direction or the other.  Have to like a 4-1 lead given that.

Well they have shown what they can win when the Canadiens are missing Price and Gallagher.  I believe they can beat them with those 2 players as well.

Tough game to get a read on. Leafs get the early 2 goal lead, then I think the Canadiens probably were a bit more desperate and aggressive and generally tended to outplay the Leafs, but not by a lot. Certainly they had some really good chances and Campbell stoned them. Good win overall. Some positive signs for the PP once set up but man, they need to figure out how to get to that point!

Allen's 4th goal was an obvious stinker, but both he and Campbell stopped all the breakaways ? which there were more of than usual.

Is Price due back for the playoffs?  If not, I think the Leafs should be able to take these guys out without too much trouble.

I really didn't think the Habs looked all that impressive. They clearly lack high end talent. Good fundamentals but no finishers. The one goal they likely get most of the time is the Josh Anderson wide open shot, but not much else.

And it's funny how we're also down Hyman and we don't even mention it much. Just below Nylander in scoring. He's gonna be much appreciated come playoff time.
