Leafs @ Canadiens - Mar. 26th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

That flurry by the Habs reminds me uncomfortably that even though the Leafs have completely dominated this period, Montreal is only one lucky bounce from being tied. Kallgren a couple solid saves so far - both chances were high quality.

Yeah Willy is coming back as the first forward to help out the defense these days. The second line has been more defensively solid with this change.

Of course we?ve been playing NJD and MTL with defense pairs that can probably be best described as 3 top-4 pairs

Refs have really kept the whistles in their pockets so far. Leafs could have had a few penalties I thought.

This HNIC talk is so dumb. 1) Campbell didn't need leaked trade information to know that the Leafs were looking around at other options, and 2) how does Dubas publicly turning down a trade offer that would have included 2 players that could have helped them right now send a message to Knies that they might be shopping him around and cause a level of mistrust between him and the team?

I see that the CBC panel is trying to stir up a goaltending controversy in Toronto. And now with Knies.

Was just thinking the same thing. Is this coming from some source or is it just talking heads trying to provide some more "hot takes" to stir up interest? This reminds me why I seldom listen to the first period intermission on HNIC.

Post trade deadline, this far from the playoffs, they?re desperate for content, so they?re gonna run with whatever they can blow 5 minutes on.

Best trade he didn't make. If that was the proposal. Overpayment. Give up essentially 3 first round picks for Fleury and Hagel who is good but another small forward we don't need. No one knows what Knies is going to turn out to be but players with the size, hands, and shot combination like him is something this team is lacking. A power forward. Again glad he didn't trade away more of the future.
