That last goal was straight up one of the worst I've seen allowed in awhile. And I've watched Freddy play*!

For the love of god it's a joke don't kill me

It was Lalime-like

It gets worse every time the gif loops.

Mirtle just pointed out that this shot wasn't even going on net...

Yes Marner is the one on that shift that should shoot, absolutely.

Edit: Yes Rielly is the next best option.

Matthews looks like he doesn't want to shoot or force the play inside. Seems content to spend all his time on the periphery.

I?d still prefer Matthews taking the peripheral shot

Me too, but he's been deferring the whole game until that one shot near the end.

You have to hope that:

? Andersen comes back soon
? The PP is beginning to click
? Sandin stays in the line-up
? Hyman is back for the playoffs
? Foligno didn't turn around and go back to Columbus

Galchenyuk isn't top line material. Thornton is pretty useless. This team is just absolute junk right now. Can we send Calgary their garbage back?

Ahead 3-2 on a SH goal and then the goalie decides to be as awful as he could possibly be.  Timely.

I think Galchenyuk is OK on that line and he'd be less effective playing on the 3rd or 4th line. The problem tonight seemed to be Matthews deferring too much (maybe that wrist is still a problem) and Marner _shooting_ too much.

Hate to say it but I think his wrist is going to give him problems the rest of the way, at least some nights.

Is now when I should post that I am done posting here and not watching any more games?

My wife and I are watching this past midnight here in Moncton and she was trying to cheer the Leafs on while I was evolving from frustration to laughter by how bad it is

EDIT: Susan and I were trying to remember how many years ago it was that we met you at the hockey rink for a beverage and snack...

I'm kind of wondering if there is any point to watching anymore games (until the playoffs) since we don't seem to have a goalie anymore. Curious to see what Foligno brings, so I suppose I'll be tuning in to the next game for that.
