Leafs @ Canucks - Mar. 14th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Interesting discussion on Gardiner.  IMO he hasn't had a good year, hasn't made the next step defensively Frank E wants, and hasn't been able to offset it offensively.

I don't have any issue with citing possession statistics, and if Carlyle's time here taught us anything it's really important.  But are there advanced stats that measure a defenseman's play in his own zone?  I haven't seen any but maybe there are some?  If there are, then you have to put that in the balance with citing Gardiner's possession stats.

Hughson sounds moist discussing the Nucks PP.

Apparently Booth was 'lucky' to clear the zone.

HNIC is an absolute joke now, worst hockey broadcast out there.

Watching him try to get around the ice is hard, he is also trying to make stupid plays to compensate for his lack of mobility, it puts the other guys on the ice in tough spots.

I hope they are just letting him get to game 1000 and then will roll Erixon instead.

He played 8:02 in the 1st period.  Second most ice-time for the Leafs. Does Horachek/Nonis/Shanahan have a hole in their head?

A guy in a funny green hat just foretold Nazem Kadri's future.  That is cutting-edge programming.

I hear he was a tank driver in the war.

I was just thinking Brennan doesn't look too bad on the PP, and then got distracted by Kessel's effort getting back on that goal.
