Maybe Yandle can take one shift before he collapses back onto his sick bed.  After all, maintaining a streak is more important than meaningful participation.

Excited to see what we have in Abruzzese, and if Campbell can find his early season form.

I think Kessel needs to play 21 more to tie him for longest streak ever.

That's kind of weird, right? Like, it's not like Philly is battling for a playoff spot.

I wonder if it's just what Deebo eluded to in that he's got the record intact since Kessel can't beat him mathematically...and they want to look at some other players.

Kessel retiring after this year? Apparently Yandle has been horrible for most of the year so who knows. Don't know why they didn't wait until he got to 1000 and they can dress 7 D men till then. Whatever. Kessel will own the record next season.

If/when Kase gets back, a third line of Nylander - Kampf - Kase could be something.

Engvall is playing his best Hockey lately, I like Kase and what he brings but he will play Spezza, Clifford or Simmonds out of the line up at best.

Hoping the Leafs don't play down to the opponent like they tend to do for whatever reason.

GO LEAFS GO!

My biggest concern as well. They seem to raise their level of play against the teams with great records and drop off significantly when playing those without.

What would their overall record be if they played every team even half as well as they played their last 3 ? My guess is they?d be at the very top of the league right now.

So they take a lot of nights off when playing weaker opponents and still have one of the best records in the NHL.

I remember Cito Gaston using different lineups in September because they were assured a post season berth. I'm not saying Keefe is doing this, but if he is I like his style.
