This period brought to you by oz, Hainsey and Marincin firing the puck to nobody on zone clears
Terrible display of D. I love th Hainsey screen... Perfect, just on the wrong goalie lol.

Freddie Freddie Freddie.  Streak is alive.  Has been since Feb 4th since he has given up less than 2 goals.  Bad positioning to blame again.  He isn?t good enough right now.

Can you please help me understand your point by directing me to the goalie whose goals against average is below 2?

And now Muzzin.  But no forward support.

Honestly our forwards are open but our defensemen suck at outlet passes.  If Gardiner and Dermott (or Rosen) are playing this likely isn?t an issue.  The problem is the Leafs might need to adjust this come playoff time.  The flip play to create a jump ball situation with the defenders seems to work well.  The Leafs don?t do it enough

Your question makes no sense.  Who ever mentioned a collective GAA below two?  Not that it matters.  You can?t find one game in nearly two months where he had a GAA below two.  Not one game.  How is that not concerning?

How is giving up less than 2 goals a game a realistic expectation on a regular basis?

I dunno, I think the short crisp passes are their best bet.  They were doing it there for 2 or 3 games, but you've got to have the forwards available consistently.

Your point taken re 51/23 and hopefully Rosen though.  Quicker deciders.

Another forward defense failure.  Terrible.

EDIT: Sorry misread the number.  Rielly didn't get it done.

Who suggested that?

What does Marleau do well at this point.  He?s not fast, he loses puck battles all the time and doesn?t create scoring chances for his linemates

Just awful defense this period.

That?s the biggest problem with this team and I don?t put all the blame on the D.
These guys as a group cannot defend.
Been like that for ages.
Whether we r up one, two, three doesn?t matter until that final horn goes a win is never a sure thing.
After the shellacking a couple weeks back the focus was on defensive coverage.
What a joke. Nothing has changed and nothing will until Babcock gets these guys to play a different system or personnel is changed.

He's a black hole on offense unless someone sets him up perfectly in front. Otherwise he just gives the puck away.

Yup Rielly the goat on that one. Leafs D game in the toilet this period.

Best player for the Leafs that period was 31.  One bad goal but kept it from being 5-2 or something.
