Didn't realize but on paper the Flyers have a pretty good team.

On the ice, they're getting caved in by most possession, expected goals, and scoring chance metrics. They're being propped up by Hart's goaltending. If he regresses in any significant way, they're going to sink like a stone. They are not a good team. They're a poor team with good goaltending.

Martin Jones is also somehow 3-0 with a 0.950 Sv% this season.

IN VERY EXCITING NEWS, we know know why Rasmus Sandin's nickname is Carl.
https://theathletic.com/2943441/2021/11/10/one-on-one-with-rasmus-sandin-on-becoming-a-full-time-maple-leaf-and-his-real-name/

Throughout his first few stops with the Leafs, he was a tough nut to crack. He was never standoffish, but also never one to go into great detail about a game, or his life in general.

That appears to be changing. Take, for example, his openness in sharing the fact that his real name is not Rasmus Sandin.

His passport reads Carl Erik Rasmus Sandin, and as of late, more of his teammates have taken to calling him Carl.

?That?s more how you name people in Sweden,? said Sandin indifferently. His parents called him Rasmus more and more as he got older, and the name stuck. That is until teammate Justin Holl saw his passport, and started calling him ?Carl Eriksson.?

He?s comfortable enough sharing a tidbit about Holl, too.

?His middle name is Gunnar, which is a Swedish name,? said Sandin, laughing. ?I call him Gunnar.?

Yeah. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Jones' numbers are complete unsustainable, and Hart's .945 ES Sv% is also unsustainable.

I don?t know why but I had no clue Sandin was only 21. For some reason I had him around 24 in my mind.

Were you looking at Timoth Liljegren, who has Aaron Ekblad syndrome?

Ekblad syndrome??? Sandin is around 10 months younger then Liljegren who's only 22.

Tavares stayed out late for the optional skate.  That doesn't sound super optimistic that he'll be in tonight

That is bananas.

Mitch Marner will probably be 50 before he looks as old as Aaron Ekblad did on Draft Night:

Here he is winning the Calder Trophy in 2015, the year after he was drafted, at 19 years old.

Here's Timothy Liljegren today, as a 22 year old.
