Leafs @ Golden Knights - Dec. 31st, 3:30pm - SN, Fan 590

The leafs are terrible inept in their own end, I don't know how there can be an opponent alone in front on pretty much every shift of the game?

I think a failed challenge on a goal should be a penalty. That challenge was as good as a timeout already for Gallant. Big deal that they lost their timeout

It?s better.  The challenge usually ends up taking longer.

Skate hard and wait for other team to screw up seems like way too easy of a game plan.

I don't care, there's no way this VGK team is this good.

They'll come back to earth.  Nobody punches this far above their weight all season.

I hope they win the Stanley Cup!  No other NHL fan base deserves it more!  Oh, wait...

Probably doesn't hurt to have quite a few guys looking for next deal and will be interesting to see how much money they look for going forward.

I love the announcers praising Subban for a great game. How many actual hard saves did he make?

Happy New Year.

Pretty easy to see why Babcock isn't much of a Marincin fan. He has flashes of goodness but there are way too many times where he demonstrates why he can't be relied upon as a full-time NHL defenceman.

Any ETA on Zaitsev's return?

Watching the shot Zaitsev took on the foot, I would say he has a broken bone or hairline fracture. If its a hairline fracture it should be a 4-6 weeks, if its broken then up to 8 weeks, but the Leafs are not telling us what it is..of course
