Leafs @ Habs - Nov. 19th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Oh dear.

Glad JvR is okay (especially running his face into the dasher with his mouthguard out).

What a brutal hit.

Felt like the Leafs didn't get a single point shot through tonight. Would be nice to get a bounce in Montreal one of these games.

Our lack of a big shot from the D is a point where we don't compare well with MTL.  Admittedly, btween 6 & 79 they've got two of the best.

Habs played last night. Leafs might have extra in the tank in the last ten minutes here.

Yeah, the Habs played last night.  You'd think Babcock could find a way to take advantage. But nope, we still lose, AGAIN.

I just don't understand how Babcock can't coach us to a win once in a while against the Habs and the Sens.

I'm beginning to think he can only win as a coach when he has a star stacked team. We're not there yet!

I don't mind all the losing when we end up with a high draft pick, however, there are only 2 teams I want to win against. The stinking Habs and Sens. Babcock can't coach this team to win against them at all.

I just don't understand!

So that was really stupid and dangerous.

To be fair to Matt Martin, the reverse angle showed him recognizing his mistake right as he committed to the hit, and trying to bear hug Beaulieu to hold up. Sadly he fell forward instead, and boarded Beaulieu. He tried to see if Beaulieu was okay immediately (after checking if the ref saw him). In any case, that was still dumb and I'm starting to think he is even worse than being a waste of cap space and a mere detriment to our fourth line offense.

Price is now 11-0-1 with a .950 save percentage. There's not much you can do to beat that through coaching.

Perhaps Babcock could try a passionate, well-timed speech?

I think they need to get in Prices face. Dump him, get him off his game. They never do it.

I am not saying run the goalie. MON and ever other team dumps into the opposing teams goalie ever game. We play very nicely and it is easy for a goalie to feel comfortable in the net..

I also thought both the hits we pretty scary looking..

Frankly, don't think neither Martin nor Emelin could have cared less whether either Beaulieu or Van Reimsdyk had had their necks broken.

Both were brutal -- blindsided and the a cross-check -- and they could have garnered very damaging consequences, no matter how one looks at it.
