Watching now, that was weak all around. You could see it coming with everyone fumbling the puck in the zone. Three games in four nights not helping the Leafs either. Do we ever get to play the Islanders when rested?

3 in 4. 15th in 28 days in February. Missing 2 of your best 4 defencemen. Still missing your valuable 3C. Back-up in net. I'd love to win this one but it was an uphill battle going in.

Lots of excuses there.

You can call it excuses but it's reality. Teams aren't on even footing. One is rested without major injuries and the other isn't.  I realize you're upset that the defense looks way worse without Gardiner in it, but it's what everyone tried to tell you.

?\_(ツ)_/?

None of that matters holl and MM aren?t the difference.  The difference is coaching and sparks.  This is a playoff atmosphere.  Babcock set the tone by starting sparks, that this isn?t a serious game.  Everyone is playing with injuries and tough stretches.  Those aren?t excuses.

Would give anything for Babcock to be gone.
Come on, I can't actually believe you believe that. His record stands for itself, the players respect and do work for him. He has done everything to date he said he would. Tavares came home and others will too.
We are playing tonight without two of our top D men and a back up Goalie that is getting zero support.

Couldn?t believe it more.  The game has passed him.

Leafs have played a decent game. They just have had some huge defensive blunders and that 4th goal was a weird one. Holl was on top of Sparks and Sparks had.no idea where the puck was. Hoping they can come back but I am not betting on it.
Did you see Marincin on that goal? That's on him. I have a hard time believing Marincin is the best we have on the Marlies even with the injuries. Leafs can't survive with the D as it is tonight. Funny thing. Haven't heard hitching about Zaitsev yet lol.

Well, to listen to talking heads at intermission the Leafs are in for it at playoff time.  ::)
Yep and most sports I only watch in the playoffs, Raptors, got to be playoffs. MLS, I like to waste time but playoffs is high energy.  Blue Jays, drink strong lemonade and waste a few hours in a transe like stupor, unless it is playoffs...then it becomes the best sport outside of hockey.
The Leafs will show up in the Playoffs this year and in the fourth period today. 6-4 anyone?

No, not everyone is playing with injuries and 3 games in 4 nights in this game, only the Leafs. The Islanders are rested and healthy; what part of that don't you get?

About the only thing you can conclude from this game is that we can't afford to lose 2 starting defensemen.

And a center...

I like Kadri and he would help in a game like this but the D is paper thin.  Gotta hope that when Rosen is ready to be called up that he can step in.

Still, it doesn't really matter who's in on D -- if you can heavy forecheck them, the Leafs are neutralized.

Wow you are unbelievable, if Rosen had been available instead of the other two guys, then he may have scored one and set up another and we would at worst be tied and then you would say "what a great coach".

Hey Mr. Nine
I guess you may want Barry Trotz for our replacement coach.  Let buy Babs out, make a deal with Lou and return Leafs to the glory days.

Or, you know, facts.
They could've played better tonight, obviously, but I mean honestly what do you want? 82-0 regular season?

Good thing there are no back to back in the playoffs, Babcock wouldn?t feel comfortable playing a goalie back to back.  Only coach in the league that doesn?t play his best goalie in big games.

This team has no, zero physical push back. Nobody wants to hit. All year long, any opposition leans on them a bit and it completely kills their game. Way too soft.

This isn't a big game for us.
