Kapanen easily beating Kovalchuk to that puck even though he was well behind pretty much sums up LA's problems.
 
Ozhiganov is going to get blamed for that (and he should?ve had his head swiveled), but that?s a standard bump by our defence into the open middle of the ice. F3 in the right spot means an immediate break out. Obviously he wasn?t.

The leafs are missing JVR on the pp.  They aren?t using the pass from Marner down to the net.

Not to mention 34 and 29.  I sure hope we haven't seen the last of 29....  Those 2 units would be epic.
 
That was not as great a period for the Leafs as the shot clock indicated. I thought LA controlled the play for most of it. I felt like the Leafs let up after scoring two early.
