Not sure why you?d play the rookie in net and take this game so lightly. There are psychological reasons to not have a discouraging game against the team you?ll be meeting in the first round .

Because Campbell hasn?t been healthy all year and he is going to be asked to work a lot in the postseason.  They are being extra cautious to limit his workload down the stretch

Fair enough. But sometimes there are unintentional consequences from a loss like this before you meet them for a seven game playoff series. Hopefully it doesn?t effect them too much in the inevitable first round matchup with these guys.

Extra cautious he's barely played the last 1-2 months. Don't think he's overworked. Play him tonight, again Saturday and then Kallgren Sunday or swap them over the weekend. Campbell has been better last couple starts but I'm praying to God he gets his game back to where it was or reasonably close to the 1st half. If he doesn't we're doomed.

Goaltending is our weakest link, we've known that since Day One of this year.

What concerns me more in this game is that I am afraid if Muzzin isn't back that Liljegren could get chewed up in front of the goal.  He is not very strong there.

You could say that about more than one of our defensemen.

This game will have no effect on them. You think TBay is going to think we'll beat them easily? Not a chance.

I just know psychology has played a big role with the Leafs in the past come playoff time? hopefully they?ve outgrown that this year. We don?t need any linger of doubt in their minds.

Well this one is done. I have Hedman and Paul in my fantasy so wouldn't mind a couple more points from both of them. 4-0, 6-0, 6-1 whatever it's a loss.

Jeez o pete.  5-0

Well, at least this will put to bed any idea that we will have an easier time with TB than any of the other teams.

I think the bigger concern should be Matthews. I don't believe a word Keefe or anyone else is saying. If his injury is more serious either he is out longer than they are leading on or he's not going to be 100% for the playoffs.

Oof how is that not a penalty on the play.  Blackwell gets taken down and then he swings his stick nowhere near the puck and smacks him right in the face

Not a penalty on a follow through. Puck was there..Don't like the play but it's not a penalty by NHL rules.

Explain your rationale for not believing him

Our net-front play is awful awful awful tonite.

I've been bitching about that forever. Soft soft soft. Most teams tie people up, knock people down, get better positioning whatever. We don't and it's an issue. Some don't think so but you have to be more physical. Players aren't stupid you know you can go to the dirty areas because for the most part you're not going to get moved out of there.

Nope Kallgren's fault. He's gotta make a save...

Not watching the game.  Has he been as brutal as his statline?

No?but it?s also a game where Vasy has made more saves than Kallgren.  The Leafs deserve to be losing

Teams, coaches they don't disclose a lot of stuff. We don't even know what the problem is. Something tells me it could be lingering. Hope I'm wrong. Obviously need both him and Muzz healthy.
With him challenging for the Rocket and even for the Hart you would assume it's more serious or he'd be playing.
