THEY'RE STILL THE BEST ODDS YOU CAN GET!

Yeah but it's an 80% chance that you don't win.  Therefore who cares about 1st overall when 2nd overall is just as good?  I mean sure it's an 87% of not winning but 13% of winning > 80% of losing.  I don't get the argument.  1st overall is the only one that guarantees top 4.  It's also >50% that you finish top 3.

If they don't manage top 3 this year, how do you think they ought to go about getting there next year?

Who was it here the other night who said Sparks looks like a tire fire in net?

That sounds like something I would say, but I'm not sure.

The main thing about finishing last is that at worst you get Chychrun.  That's nice and valuable.

I'm surprised that he's somehow 6-4 on the year. Not really showing that he'll be a full-time NHL goalie.

To me, 30th gives them at worst the 4th overall (because we will not win the lottery. Good things just do not happen to the Leafs. This is the year for the tank. I don't think we're going to be in the hunt next year and I'm perfectly fine with that.

I was just wondering because I've heard this rebuild's going nowhere until we get a top-3, franchise-cornerstone sorta pick.

Did everyone hear that this Vesey kid is going to wait until he hits UFA before signing? Elliotte also said "why wouldn't Nashville lay a charge of tampering if the Leafs sign him".

Pffft the optics may look "bad" but I for one couldn't give a crap. About time the Leafs do what they have to do..

You're right, but the hockey Gods make a regular habit of relieving themselves on Toronto's legs. I really think this year is our best shot.

They could try, but without some actual evidence you really can't prove anything.

The league might not want to come down too hard on anyone when it comes to father-son relationships too what with everything that's happened with the Campbell's.

And, not as good as it should be.  Thanks Edmonton!  >:(

Kadri gets slashed in the wrist/hands, leaves the ice due to injury.

No call though because he yelped in pain.

Super obvious. Refs in on it.

Rielly takes a good penalty.

Marner decided to wake up and put up 3 points in a 5-1 win over Owen Sound to put the Knights up 2-1 in their series.

Bracco had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 Kitchener win to go up 3-0 on Windsor.

If Sarnia doesn't pick it up against against Sault Ste Marie it's going to be Marner vs. Bracco in the 2nd round.

He's learning his place, by golly.
