This is completely irrelevant but I'm putting it here anyway because there are some funny quotes and some really excellent bagel trash-talking.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/26/world/canada/montreal-bagels-fairmont-st-viateur.html

I didn't even know Montreal bagels are a thing.

Seriously?  What rock have you been under? :P

I only had to make it as far as Ottawa to learn about montreal style bagels 20 years ago.  I'm seriously salivating at the thought of stepping into Kettlemans on Bank St.

The rock of these United States of America.  Where "bagels" = "NYC" (at least that's what New Yorkers are forever telling us).

My apologies.  I'm not surprised at all that you aren't familiar with Montreal Style bagels.  Other than Vermont, I don't think I've ever seen them in the US either.

None needed.  I actually am surprised that some enterprising company hasn't marketed them here; they sound quite different from NY-style, and possibly more to the tastes of the general American consumer (where sweeter = better).

They aren't that sweet but are definitely sweeter than a NY Style bagel.  The get boiled in honey water and have a denser crumb.

Luck has even improved since Babcock left.  1-0 on the fortunate break.  All of this makes sense.

I mean ie as mostly talking about Nylander?s work earlier but then Dermott put a plinko in. Now Barrie gets a nice look and another lucky tip off a Detroit stick.

And another goal.  Barrie from the point.  These boys look like they are having a good amount of fun.

Wings announcers giving the leafs zero credit.  Talking like Babcock is still around.  You can already see the emphasis on getting back through the neutral zone.

Nylander still doesn?t try very hard.  Had a chance to get the puck out twice and put zero effort into it.

Muzzin just move the puck. That whole hemmed in our end was due to him and Nylander needs to get the puck out. Too scared to take a hit. Lucky we didn't get scored on. Good start though nice to see us get a lead.

Great start. Little blip with the Muzz giveaway and laziness by Nylander but they'll get it going. Different looking team.
