Did the game start early?
I missed halfe the first despite loggning on 20 min early...

No, they even had a little ceremony before it started.

Did you change to summer time or somerhing?

Delight savings time was last night so the time did change

Alright, that explains it.
I alway miss a couple of periods every season due to that.

Obviously one of the main issues of snow fall and snow building on the oce is, presumably anyway, a change in how the puck might run so impact on passes and stuff like that.

But would it make any impact on ability to skate? Like is it going to slow down someone like Mikheyev and negate that aspect of a players skill set?
The wind can have a huge impact and apparently the Leafs are playing into it.

Yes.  Even though it is below zero the snow can melt a bit and creates a slushier surface on the ice that creates more friction and slows down skaters.  These games don?t favour skating and finesse teams

Horrible period so far. Hopefully they pick things up. Have we had a good quality chance?
They're playing into the wind and it's apparently blowing pretty hard. That has a huge effect.

Man what was the official looking at there a mere 2 feet from Anderson when he tried tomahawking someone. My god just brutal.

Thanks for the replies on the ice/snow question. Wouldn?t have even thought of the wind.. these games are often great spectacles but I always feel the games are a bit of a crapshoot and more level than they might be otherwise.

Just like playoff games.
