I got into big trouble last time for saying that if the Leafs couldn't beat these guys they didn't deserve the being called "legit."

Just look at that Sabres roster.. No excuse to lose to this team. Although Ryan Miller always scares me on a Friday night in Buffalo... But got to beat this sorry bunch

I don't know if there's anything to this, but I think the PP might improve if Phaneuf and Franson were split up between the 2 units. Something like Rielly-Phaneuf, Franson-Gardiner or Gardiner-Phaneuf and Franson-Rielly.

One vet with experience and a kid. I just don't think Rielly and Gardiner together are very effective ATM. splitting them up with a veteran each leaves a big shot on both PP units in Phaneuf and Franson, and a slick passing/skating D who can rush or stretch pass in Rielly and Gardiner.

Just a thought.

Also, for the 1000th time, on the PP put the D so that there is a one-timer opportunity between them!

Maybe this would be as good a time as any to try:

Reilly - Phaneuf
Gunnar - Gardiner
Fraser - Franson

#freeJakeGardinerAGAIN

Close for me.

Rielly / Phaneuf
Gardiner / Franson
Gunnarsson / Fraser

I actually think that Gunnar and Fraser would be able to shut teams down. May give Phaneuf a little bit of a break to focus on offense. Worth a try, especially against a bad team.

What a disgusting roster the Sabres are throwing out there right now.

Going to be particularly disgusting when we get outshot, outchanced and outworked by them!

3-2 Sabres

Edit:  yes Im a jaded Leaf fan at this point but this team has shown me absolutely NOTHING to think otherwise.

What a crappy 3rd line.

Holland should be in and any of Leivo, Abbot, Bodie and Ashton should knock that useless 4th line out of the lineup. At least those guys can actually skate for more than 3 minutes a game.

Maybe Gunnar could rediscover some of his offence if he were paired with Fraser...

Oh and I predict at least 2 fights though I think 3 is very likely.

McLaren and Orr need to justify themselves and the last game (or was it the first of the back to back) had some bad blood and borderline hits.

McLaren-Scott, Ott-Clarkson, Orr-Scott and probably Fraser goes as well.

After 2 disappointing results they're definitely frustrated.

I'm thinking tonight will be a big game for Clarkson.  Likely a fight, a goal, and a whole lot of scrappy play in the corners.
