I'm down with that.  BTW I like Polak myself, a decent d-man who has more speed than some give him credit for, but he really needs to be shipped at the deadline or earlier if there is any market for him.

Yeah I don't exactly mind Polak as a bottom-pairing guy either, although I think he's somewhat struggled in the few games he's played to start.

I still think he struggles to make any sort of clean outlet pass.

I was going to predict a good game for Bernier and a Leafs win, but this has big loss written all over it.

I have Bernier as a fantasy goalie (thank god I also have Price) so here's hoping.....

I agree. He struggles to make passes of any real significant length or that require any real urgency.

I also find his mobility to be questionable.  He has a really slow first step.  Polak playing stationary positional defense is fine.  Anything beyond that I don't trust him/want him in the lineup.  I think the Leafs made a mistake in not trading him at the deadline last year (if there was actually a deal on the table).

i really like hunwicks mobility and workrate.  some more of that on d please!

Marincin with a second giveaway.  But overall, it's amazing how much better they are managing the puck this season so far.  It's been Babcockonian.

So the early season is pretty much showing that the Leafs aren't that good....unfortunately there are a few teams who happen to be worse.

Unfortunate for the fans who don't want them to win that it is. The team has not played a bad game all season
