Awful team.  Truly.  How does anyone keep faith?

this is kind of game you gear up for huh?

The problem that exists is that most fans won?t admit that this team has inferior compete level.  Which leads to your line of questioning.  If the leafs came out and worked my comments wouldn?t exist.

Funny thing about the recent hate towards me, I?ve been posting here since early 2000s, had over 20,000 posts wiped out when the board crashed, and these past couple seasons is the first time in over 15 years my commentary has drawn ire. It?s a symptom of what is happening on the ice. The leafs have the best talent since I begin watching them, but I?ve never seen this type of below par effort level so consistently.  Who has?  The consistent criticism is against Babcock.  It doesn?t change.

Sparks can't be letting in 4+ goals a game for sure but I'm not sure it's a good defensive strategy to just back off the shooter and give them an open lane to the net. Look at that 4th goal. This is a coaching problem.

Justin Holl has been really bad in this game.

It's pretty hard to see the Leafs getting around their defensive deficiencies this year.  They just don't have the proper balance or depth on the blueline, even when 51 and 23 were in.

I?m with you lc9. Some on here don?t like the truth. Galley and Hrudey are 100% right.

Team is full of shinny hockey soft, lazy players and has been for a while. Unfortunately Dubas looks like he looks to skill first.

Size, grit compete are secondary. League has changed but those qualities are still needed and as far as I?m concerned just as important.

If we lose tonight our record in the last 34 games will 17-17, that?s .500 hockey over a decent period of time. We should be better that that. This team is nowhere near playoff ready. Four and out.

Yet he looks small.

Very little athletic ability

Really the only negative against dubas.  I think his first year has been good with roster management.  By choosing sparks is a clear mark against.

The clear defensive deficiencies are 70% coaching.  It?s not just the D.  The forwards are lost.

End of the day, we can all agree Marleau has had a great career, but maybe it?s time to hang it up, or hide him in the lineup.  Move Moore up.  Drop 12.
