Right. It's 2016 though. That's more than a season ago.
Ok I get that now, but my point still stands, he hasn't played well in preseason and let in some stinkers tonight, has played bad in the past, I hope he gets it together.

lol
I hope they don't make this a thing, give the kid a break.

Sure but even Carey Price has played bad in the past. Andersen's coming off an injury and is probably a few weeks behind everyone else still. Just like Matthews isn't going to score 4 a night, this most likely is not indicative of how Andersen will be either.

Well, they lost, right?
I really enjoyed the game, but we're fans, and we come here to discuss the pluses and minuses of the game.
Their defensive game was a bit of a mess. Seemed like what we'd expect from a bunch of new teammates early in the season, not to mention a whole bunch of them are new to the league.
Goaltending wasn't strong, but I think the loss in mostly due to lack of good defensive positioning by both forwards and defensemen last night. Work in progress, for sure.
But the offensive talent sure seems light years ahead of last year's team.

I also think it's a bit of an exaggeration. Most of the sens goals were scored on guys with wide open looks being left completely alone. Then there was the tip on the Karlsson that nobody could do anything about.
Ideally, yeah, you'd like him to make a save on one of the Turris goals and the Brassard one sucked but the standard some of the people using for criticizing him is just flat out insane. We saw this with Bernier last year too. The circumstances of the actual goals are secondary to people with unrealistic expectations who think that the situation should dictate whether or not a goalie decides to make a save.
