Why he decamped to WPG I'll never know.  I used to live and die by his radio calls with Ralph.

He's from the area, so I'd imagine it was a family decision.

I think because he would be getting a TV gig with the Jets and with Bonsie being dropped from tv down to radio he was basically out of a job. Also TSN has just regional games now and less opportunities for the big guys to do other teams and leave space for Dennis.

And I agree. He's better than any Sportsnet pxp guy.

I do like the leaps the young guns do when they celebrate. I think that demonstrates the closeness these guys have.

Vasilevskiy's the best goalie in the world right now and he didn't even move on that shot.

Would you say he struck like... a bolt of lightning?

New thing Nylander is doing on his breakaways: no longer trying to (over)fake. Just dip and fire.

I understand the desire some have to see Nylander at center, but Matthews and Nylander are so good together...

Tampa has 3 defencemen who quite frankly just aren't very good, and a 19-year old rookie who's been good but also inconsistent and inexperienced. The idea that they're unbeatable or don't have any weaknesses is silly.

Waves of nostalgia listening to Beyak tonight. We?ve been treated to some rotten announcers since Sportsnet?s gogantic tv deal.

Jake Gardiner is a stud.

Gardiner scores!  Leafs 3 - Lightening 0

Way to ruin the possible natural hat trick!

Go Leafs Go!
