Quick turn Willy! Point streak lives!

I want to give Jarnkrok an accolade tonight but the AZ boys gonna get it.

I'm shifting to CJ for HM.  Kudos to him for a blast goal and real nice positioning for the GWG.

Don?t forget Woll.

Woll is 1A now.  I'm not as down on Samsonov as you though.  Can't defend his play tonight, mind you.
Sammy was swimming.  He's got to calm down.

You can't play any kind of game with the reincarnation of Vesa Toskala in net.

I was questioning whether I should write that comment or not and whether the team was playing poorly or if it was Sammy and what combination. This is just bizarro hockey from both teams with goaltending issues. It's no surprise the Leafs look better with a goalie who can stop the puck. Gaffes look worse when the goalie doesn't stop the puck but at some point the goalie has to make a save. Woll came in and did that... again! The Leafs aren't playing their best hockey but man Sammy is not holding up his end of the bargain.

The players would never admit it but they probably feel better when Woll is in net too. If you're scared to make a mistake that's when you're prone to make mistakes

Well that was unexpected. Although I suppose hockey is a sport where no lead is safe anymore.

Samsonov is not cutting it and the Leafs need two goalies.

Just watched the highlight pack and Samsonov looked shaky no matter how bad the player coverage was.

The lines seemed to be clicking.

Benoit seemed to be physical.

That's what I got from the 10 minute Sportsnet package.  :)

Benoit didn't make any glaring mistakes but to make sure I need to recheck the 1st period TBL goals because I wasn't seeing straight after the first two.

Woll has an opportunity to seize the starting roll here.  Needs to have another strong game on Wednesday and hopefully he and the team can go on a bit of a roll here.

He looks fundamentally sound in net.  He shows glimpses of his potential.  Would be nice to see the team have a goalie they drafted actually be a #1 for the team.  Been far too long.

Domi had easily his  best games in a Leafs uniform last night. Maybe we need to try playing Bertuzzi at centre too.

Bert has to stop trying to justify his contract and just play.
Simplify it. Good wingers with speed def helped Domi.

I thought Robertson was an upgrade on the 3rd line. He was noticeable out there, created some chances. Honestly, that's all he has to do. Play with some energy, create some havoc.

His hunched skating stride (still a work in progress) lends itself to him being very quick to get into shooting form, regardless of what his lower half is doing.

His form is very reminiscent of Phil Kessel

It's not about Woll seizing the net it's about making sure we have 2 goalies that can play in the NHL. We have to get Samsonov into a serviceable form.

Nice heads up by Keefe to reward Jarnkrok with some OT opportunity, and get the win for it. It could have been anybody with the dagger the way Nylander and Rielly were whippin it, but Calle gets the call. I suspect he will get the game belt tonight.
Nylander pulls in two TB players and dishes it for the 2-on-1. All Nylander on that one, a beautiful execution on the goal but the 2 on 1 setup was awesome.

Yep! Skated right at Sergachev after he dusted Hagel, knowing he'd be chased with backpressure. Jarnkrok instantly sprints for the post once he sees Nylander crossing the blueline with control and Brayden Point is stuck in no-man's land trying to cover Rielly's shot-feint.

From Tampa's perspective, Hagel needed to release Nylander to Sergachev once he lost that step and cover Rielly. But he really wanted to make up for getting embarrassed down ice.

All those cutback practices for Willy paying off in spades.

One of the plays Keefe implemented in his first season was adding this high cycle to the Leafs' OZ scheme. If I recall correctly, he stole it from Spencer Carbery's Hershey Bears originally when the Marlies were routinely getting discombobulated by it.

I just don?t like how he?s all over the place in net. Not a recipe for success gets lucky I think more than he?s good. Hopefully he can turn it around because not sure if Woll can handle the #1 workload. Maybe we can ship him off for another young goalie that?s struggling.  Change of scenery might help both.
