I'm thinking Woll is now 2nd on the depth chart. Or at least equivalent to Murray.
If all are healthy, Woll is on the Marlies.

I hope Woll keeps developing, but we forget that Murray has played pretty well for most of the season.  So I agree.

Jeez, to do that without Matthews, Marner, Samsonov, or Giordano is pretty darn impressive.

It is, especially since TB was definitely not coasting.

If Murray is healthy, returns, and backs up, there's still no chance Woll is going back to the Marlies anymore. He'll stay with the Leafs through their entire playoff run even if he's #3.

I don't think Murray's stats are particularly good. .903/3.02 isn't exactly lighting the league on fire.

.881 Sv% in 12 games since January 1st. I liked Murray. I defended-ish the trade to get him. But his game has just been way too up and down this season, and add in he's coming off a concussion I'm rolling the dice with Woll instead.

Yup. Hate to say it but Murray's getting offloaded this off-season and it'll probably be his last year in the league in 23/24.

Dubas misfired pretty badly on Mrazek (I hated that move immediately after the signing was announced) and Murray, but he hit the mark on Samsonov. And he's been adept at getting rid of his mistakes, so hard to get too down on him considering mid-range goalie guesswork is just that.

Without Lafferty too.

I was not intending to watch or watch much.
Kind of a nothing game.
But thought I'd take another peek at Knies.

Pretty good game.

Deadline pickup Jeannot was the notable one out for Tampa.

Kutcherov had 10 shots on Woll. Point 8.
Woll faced some serious rubber.

Leafs lock up 4th in the East. I think (not positive) the Leafs still have an outside shot at 2nd.

Leafs have the tiebreaker over both Carolina and New Jersey (regulation wins). All 3 teams have 1 game left. Leafs need 2 points, 0 for Carolina, and max of 1 for New Jersey.

Carolina is playing Florida who will be competing to avoid Boston in Round 1.  New Jersey is playing Washington.  The Rangers are playing for nothing.

The Leafs have a shot at having home ice in Round 1, 3 and 4.......

I'm not as down on Murray as some are.  But he may not be available in R1, at least to start.

Why would they keep him here to sit in the press box when he can be playing meaningful playoff games for the Marlies?

Im not either. Concussions are a tricky thing. He could be done for good, we just don't know. I hope for his sake he can get healthy.

Because the Cup is all that matters, and Murray is one slip in practice or warm-ups from missing a game. Woll will be with the team regardless.
