Also, Liljegren has to go back to PP1 and replace Rielly.

Playoff Rielly is on another level, I would keep him on PP1

Playoff Rielly is a thing. I have Lily on the PP as he was doing well there before he got hurt and keep Morgan's minutes down a bit and save him for the high leverage stuff.

In a nod to the approaching start of the Stanley cup playoffs, the Jays were 4-1 up at the top of the 8th. And 4-6 down by the middle of the 9th.

I thought I was being harsh!

Man we have trouble in our end and we have chances to get it out we do dumb stuff and it ends up in the net.

Also, the PP has be running a pretty decent clip since he returned to the lineup post-injury - and, especially, since Marner returned.

I think that's mostly Mitch not Morgan. Guy shouldn't even be on the PP. Has no shot teams know it and that doesn't help. When's the last time you seen Morgan score from a booming shot from the point. I don't recall any.

Yeah. That?s not really a thing anymore. Hasn?t been for quite some time.

Well, we've always got stats/math suggesting they'll regress to the mean after these 2 shit games to finish off the season...right?

Booming shots from the point on the PP. Slap shots, in general, quite frankly, are extremely rare now. The role of the point man on the modern PP setup is to distribute the puck and get shots through for deflections and rebounds - things Rielly is very very good at. The booming point shot? Outside of a handful of guys in the league, basically no longer exists.

Yup. Not many teams bomb from the point. Makar, Hughes just try to get it through.

Slap shots take too long to set up. It?s all about quick releases and east west movement now. Give the goalies time to set up and they?re going to stop that shot, if it even gets through with all the traffic in front.
