Maple Leafs Development Camp

This is a new one...

Good time to point out that looking good in development camp doesn't mean much, if anything.  Doesn't have the pressure or intensity needed to really make determinations.  Almost everyone looks like an all-star.

Anyone know who wore #75 at mini camp? Seemed like a very big kid

Kayle Doetzel (#75; invitee) played for the Red Deer Rebels and was brought into camp as an invitee and didn?t look out of place. Showing smart decisions and executing safe plays, Doetzel was the lone defensive invite that turned my head based on his steady simple play.

Thanks for pointing that out. Please continue pointing these things out for us amateurs.  ::)

Did not address that towards you, but it's interesting that you took it that way.

Your superior knowledge of the game, where you can point out stuff to us rookies, is always appreciated... :P

Ouch, you guys should meet each other with some gloves on and settle things once and for all.
LOL
I just watched the video and was super impressed with Toninato, Vesy and Jack Flynn, he looked way better than Bibeau.  Loov looked good as did one or both of the Ruperts. Again based upon Potvins observations it is rookie camp but these indicators look promising.

Know anyone with an empty barn?  ;)

The sole affiliation with Orlando now means that the Leafs can use their financial clout by signing players to minor league contracts in the hopes of uncovering a 'rare gem'. The Leafs added to their minor league depth recently by signing free agent forwards Denver Manderson, Brett Findlay & Patrick Watling to minor league contracts. Do the Leafs have any plans to sign Matt Rupert to a similar contract in an effort to keep the brothers playing together?
