That being said the Knights have been helped out by becoming a resort destination for US players that has allowed them to poach late round talent.  A benefit you do not get at the pro ranks.

11 Americans on their team. Wow. I'm guessing that about doubles whoever comes in 2nd in that category?

Nope, Kitchener has 9 on their roster.

Interesting hire. Hope Hunter has become more talkative than he was during his time as bench boss in St. John's.

Sure, but they still have to be able to identify who those talents actually are - and they've done a good job of it.

I love the idea of having someone in the office that has a pretty good record of spotting talent.  No offense to the guys doing it now, but they could use this type of help.

Per Mirtle's article on the hiring, pretty crazy that 4% of NHLers right now played for the Knights.

1 out of every 25 players. Considering the number of junior teams, NCAA teams and European teams, that's an insane number.

Maybe, although considering that they're one of the most successful Junior franchises and successful Junior franchises frequently trade for very good players before Mem Cup runs you'd figure it'd be stacked that way.

Maybe, though I wouldn't have imagined it would be to that extent.
