Marlies' Playoff Games

Gauthier is a giant ninja.

Give Toronto Marlies Twitter person a raise.

great game, going to be a real fun series, hopefully the boys can win and give T.O. something to cheer about, cause the Jays and TFC really suck this year.

Marlies buzzing and largely controlling this first period. McKenna is keeping the Stars in this.

They?re targeting Johnsson when they can. And no one likes Marchment. Timashov showing off some strong puck holding capabilities too.

Smith tips a Dermott wrister after some ridiculous Timashov work.

Dermott with a fantastic/standard pinch on the play after the Stars finally shake the puck off Timashov.

The Stars knot it up after killing off a roll-over penalty with a Curtis McKenzie breakaway marker.

Marlies kill off the first of two consecutive holding calls by Gauthier and Greening; Marincin draws a hook as Gauthier returns to the ice.

Marincin, LoVerde, and Smith bearing the brunt of that kill.

Our Swedish PP (+ Aaltonen) with two handfuls of chances but couldn?t finish.

A chance at the other end is smothered easily by Sparks as every defending player shoves his mark out of the shooting lane for a clean look.

The only way the Stars have been getting zone time is when the Marlies make a slight mistake.

The Stars stick-work has been brutal, refs need to protect the Marlies or things could get out of hand.

I like that the Marlies are just playing their game despite all that stuff.

Our defense group is ridiculously active in supporting the attack. LoVerde just swung through the whole ice with a super sexy forecheck while on the penalty kill.

Stars take the lead on a PP on LoVerde?s ?holding the stick? as he skated through a stick that was hooked to his jersey.

Of course the play before that of Dermott getting checked from behind nowhere near the puck is a nothing.

Mike McKenna pulls off a McElhinney (they?re about the same age) and steals one in the first for the Stars, and holds the fort as his team heats up for the last two periods.

Marlies need to start up a new win streak.

Bell sucks, game is on but not even in HD.

Not sure that can be placed at the feet of Bell. Would it not be the station showing the game that would decide to show record it in HD or not?
