I don't have a lot of the old moments captured, hopefully you all have photos of Mats' time with our Leafs. Saturday night should be a tear jerker, I can't wait to see his number finally where it should be.....

I've never seen a Maple Leaf player so happy when one of his teammates scored a goal. There are so many wonderful moments to list, hopefully we can make it a long one, all the way up to Saturday night.

We miss you Mats!

What's the over/under on people suggesting in this thread that Sundin come back for the Leafs potential playoff run this year?

Well, they do need a forward with size...

*cough*

Personally, I'll never forget his 500th goal. Hat trick, shorthanded, overtime, couldn't have scripted it any better.

That was one of my favorites also. Like you say, Steven Spielberg couldn't have scripted that game any better.

Also the tying goal in game 6 2002 vs Carolina.

It was exciting when it occured, no doubt, but the fact that we were eliminated with a half hour or so kind of puts a damper on that one for me.

Might have been the best radio call of a goal in the last 50 years for the team though.

I miss Mats.  :'(

There hasn't been a player since he left that I've been even remotely close to having a similar emotional attachment to.

Hmmmmm....  you think if he laced them up he could keep up with Lupul and Kessel.  oh to have a young mats too toss in that hole, I dont think even Boston could beat us then.  **POP**  Oh crap!!!  I just woke up.  ;D

What comes first: this suggestion or the notion that Sundin was a traitor?

I think maybe Chris Higgins turning out to be nothing special helped heal that particular wound...
