Or Vladivostok Admiral, however they say.  Either way, "Admiral" is singular, and the team already wins for having the coolest name in all of hockey, in the coolest, most obscure town.  Vlad is approximately 10 kazillion miles east of Moscow, only moments from Kim Jong Un, Dennis Rodman, and the Peep's Repub of NoKo, that shining "land of racist dwarves," as Christopher Hitchens so memorably put it.

Anyway, Mogs is building from scratch.  He's from the Russian Far East, IIRC.  For all his sour reminiscences of his childhood, it looks like he's ready to make KHL pro hockey happen back there.

Actually, the story is mostly about the KHL's resurgence.  The bit about Jokerit joining is handwriting on the wall for the other Euro leagues.  I can see the K poaching top teams from all over the continent.

Mogilny has always been pretty smart person, he may achieve something over there. Recently I have read an interesting article on Russian Far East. They seem to be doing quite OK, so far from Moscow that they almost got a feeling of being indenpendent. Mogs is from Khabarovsk, capital of neighbouring region.
