I think that picture doesn't represent it well.
A better representation might be like the one at Keon's ceremony.
I actually kinda like that jersey. It's got some nice retro stylings. Looks really Art-Deco to me.
I take it you wanted to show the pic seeing the article is from 2009.......Bender said:http://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/nhl/mapleleafs/article/707232--dimanno-what-it-takes-to-be-leaf-captain

I would like to see them wear only this 1967 type jersey and the last alternate jersey - one of them as the main and one of them as the alternate.
I think the Leafs blew it last year redesigning the regular jersey keeping the Ballard crest.

The Ballard crest, as you call it, is simply the most attractive of all the leaf designs they've used.

I agree.
Our current 3rd is a keeper, this new one not so much.
They should focus as much on icing a team as they do on merchandising. If they did, they would sell enough jerseys without the need to change one of them every 3 years to juice sales.

I see it as the most plain looking business-like looking crest that they ever used. The others seemd to have some flair and character.

Busta Reims said:That's true. The key, of course, is to find the appropriate balance character and simplicity. I prefer the logo that the team has used recently on their 3rd jerseys to the current logo (and to the logo on the new 3rd - which, to me, looks like a sloppy version of the current logo), but, I recognize that is a personal thing.

I respectfully but vehemently disagree with the idea that it's the most attractive of all the designs.
