new fan from Scotland.

Welcome Paul,

in 1967 my family made the move from Scotland to Toronto (I was 2) and we have all been die hard Leaf fans as long as I can remember. Not only have you chosen your team wisely, but this site is full of great people who share the same passion and are very well versed in all things Maple Leafs.

Cheers!

Nice one Patrick. You ever head down to McVeighs for Celtic games? I was down for the European games this year.

Nice to see plenty of Scots and other nice types on here. I joined another forum at the same time as this and had a bunch of English guys banging on about Scottish indy ref with plenty of bigoted nonsense. I've no interest in any of that, just here for the hockey!

Cheers folks.

Since there's to Scots in here. I have a very serious question: is Irn Bru just a joke you play on unsuspecting travelers, or do you actually drink that stuff? I was last in Scotland in 2006 and I'm sure I still haven't got the taste out of my mouth.

Pfft... bandwagon jumper! Abandoning your home team for the Toronto Maple Leafs like that. Despicable! Next thing you know, you'll be throwing away your hometown basketball team for the Raptors or following the Blue Jays as well as your hometown local baseball team the Highlanders. But in your heart you know there can be only one.

Scotland has professional hockey right?  ::)

/Sarcasm *just in case*

Several teams now - Fife Flyers (UK's oldest team), Edinburgh Capitals, Dundee Stars and Braehead Clan (Glasgow based)

The Marlies played a tournament a couple of years back in Edinburgh's rink with Hamilton and the Belfast Giants
