NHL GameCenter Live for watching live Leafs games in the US

Ok.  I live in the Philadelphia area and need my Leafs fix after going into hibernation over the past 2 years.

I think I'm going to get NHL Gamecenter single team (Leafs) subscription so I can watch on my ipad or apple tv.

I assume I can watch games the next day instead of live, right?  (eg: I missed Matthews debut and I think that might have been a mistake so I'd like to go back and watch it)

Am I making a mistake?  Let me know!

I'm in Seattle and cut the cord on cable earlier this month. I have also been checking out the options for games through Apple TV (NHL GCL). I'd love to be able to watch them when I get home from the office - typically 10:30 EST - and would like to watch the game without knowing the score. I can't figure out if that's an option or not, but this seems to be about the best option.

There's a guy on reddit that provides links for Youtube HD streams of games which is another option. I won't post a link, but if you're interested I could PM the info to you.

I am a die-hard Leafs fan, living in Sharks territory, near San Jose, CA (I share Sharks season tickets as they are accessible and actually available / affordable!).

I have been doing my best to watch live Leafs games here, but from my experience it is not easy.  I don't want to have to find a pirated website to watch the game chopped out at 14.4 kbps, so last year I bought the NHL Center Ice package through Comcast and I was thoroughly underwhelmed.  There was maybe one Leafs game available per month.

This year, I'm considering buying a Single-Team Package for GameCenter Live using my AppleTV.  It's $106 for the year instead of the $140 I shelled out for Center Ice last year.

Any other Leafs fans living south of the border dealing with this same issue?

Hey neighbor!  I'm also in San Jose.  I am using DirecTV and it works for me.  I get every Leafs game except the ones that are on other channels on DirecTV.

R u guys Canadian, I would love to live in AZ full time, just love it there but being a Canuk only allows for 6 months less a day. Gamecentre worked fine for me last winter in Scottsdale.

On your Apple TV, if you go into settings within the NHL App, you can turn on or turn off the scores.

Yeah there's a setting to turn off the scores, that's how I have it set.

If you're not in the Leafs region you should be able to watch the full game right after it ends (or start it from the beginning if you join late) - if you're in the Leafs region they don't make the replay available for 48 hours.

Is it only regional games that are blacked out?

That is my understanding - https://gamecentrelive.rogers.com/en/support-game-availability/

It is possible it may be different for NHL.tv in the US, but that shouldn't really affect watching the Leafs anyway I wouldn't think.

I remember finding a link to check and see which games were blacked out in your zip/postal code from the prior season. I don't remember where it was, but I found it recently.

Thanks. I'm always at work when the regional broadcasts are on, and the drunks blow the score for me anyway!  ;) ;)
