Yeah. I'd rather see a time limit placed on the attempts than a movement limit. Let them do anything that would be legal during normal game play, just only give them 10 seconds (or whatever number makes the most sense) from the time they first touch the puck.

I think there are exceptions to the bolded portion with respect to scoring on a rebound as long as it's part of a continuous motion by the player.
