Is Alvie hurt? I could handle the rat being out tonight.

It was not a pretty looking hit, and Filatov's been recalled.  I think Alfie may be riding the press box for a while.

Excellent.

You're a class act Fanatic.

If it's class that you are looking for then you should really look into a different team and a different captain.

I have no problem being glad that Alfie is out tonight. I see the Leafs as being ready for a "let down" game and the lack of Alfie means we are more likely to grab 2 points.

There's a chance I misinterpreted your "excellent" post.

Bad teams or not, they are playing hard and giving a solid effort in pretty much every game.  I like that they play a pretty quick game too, none of the Boston/Montreal trap hockey.

Crazy how the Sens went from a team looking every bit that of a lottery team with no hope for this season to a respectable team in a matter of weeks.  Talk about night and day -- they looked hapless/pathetic to start the season.

What a coming out party thus far for Karlsson.

EDIT: I still do think they'll be in tough -- they are Spezza, Michalek, an aging/ailing Alfredsson, Karlsson, a shade-of-his-former-self Gonchar, and not much else.

Still kinda tough to judge.

They're losing to contenders and beating scrubs.  We know they're somewhere between the best and the worst in the league, but I don't know yet if that means they'll finish 5th or 12th in the conference.

Sens return Daugavins...maybe Alfie is good to go?

Last I heard was he's concussed, will miss at least a week.  Hopefully he's back for Alfie night on 11/11/11.

More likely, Daug is being returned because Butler is good to go and Filatov has been recalled.

EDIT:

I read he only went down because he's having his wisdom teeth pulled, and that he'll be back whenever that's taken care of.

Oh, you were talking about Daugavins.  I thought you were making some joke about Alfie that I wasn't getting.  Yeah, I just heard that Kaspars is having his wisdom teeth removed.

Since our re-birth the Bruins have outright owned us - Thomas especially. It's going to be extremely difficult to push the streak to 7, in Boston to boot...but I am anxious to see how we skate against one of the East's elite teams.
