What the hell are these broadcasters seeing in Clarkson's game that they are somewhat mystified that Clarkson would be scratched? 

What part of 2 goals and 3 assists in 27 games are they not seeing?  What part of falls down all the time and doesn't actually provide a physical presence are they not seeing?

He's my fav anthem singer, so they saved it a little bit. Plan these events, scale back the over production by 25% and they should be fine.

I find him to be, without a doubt, the worst "regular" anthem singer.

It's as if he exists to shout the anthem at me.

As Johnson mentioned (who I'm delighted to have doing a Saturday game btw) although Clarkson hasn't been the worst over the last week or last night, this scratch is likely a response to his body of work over the past while.

Booth with a pretty good game against the Devils, goes to the 4th line. The team should be playing him 20 minutes a game until the deadline. He's done basically zilch all season long but if he gets hot in February some team might give up a 4th or a 5th or anything really.

Even the clip they showed of Clarkson in practice showed him missing a pass and almost falling over. I wonder if they did that with a wink...

The last few games I felt he was one of our better players.  I wonder if a team won't make an offer for him anyway even if he isn't producing just to add some depth.

I'm in complete agreement.  At the same time, why is George Strombolopoulos even making that statement.  It's like they are desperate to throw him in as many places as possible for no reason.
